Pakistan Citizens Complaint Portal

Pakistan Citizen's Portal (PCP) is a Government-owned Mobile Application (available on both Android and iOS) and is being used as a tool to promote citizen-centric participatory governance. It provides a nation-wide window to connect people with Government Organizations at all levels for raising their issues with authorities, complaints' redressal and suggestions. On Government's side, it helps to promote the culture of quantified performance management and make the various government entities accountable for their mandated roles and responsibilities, In order to address the needs of Pakistani citizens nationwide, NITB lends a hand for bridging the communication gap between the government and the Pakistani citizens using the first Citizen’s Portal. Launched on October 28, 2018, the PCP is a citizen’s-centric grievance reprisal system that links the government organizations with the general public at both provincial and federal levels. Pakistan government announces new instant digital payment system

Pakistan has announced a new government-run instant digital payment system called "Raast" in a bid to boost financial inclusion and government revenue in the country where only a fraction of economic transactions occur on the books. Raast is Pakistan’s first instant payment system that will enable end-to-end digital payments among individuals, businesses and government entities instantaneously. The state-of-the-art Pakistan’s Faster Payment System will be used to settle small-value retail payments in real time while at the same time provide a cheap and universal access to all players in the financial industry including banks and fintechs. Pakistan has had low electronic transactions for a number of reasons including low banking penetration, lack of trust and awareness of digital payment methods, limited interoperability, difficult accessibility and high cost of transactions. The Real Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) of Pakistan provides instant payment settl...

SoapUI Open Source 5.5 Improvements 12th February 2019

SoapUI's Background The first version of SoapUI was released in October 2005. The guy behind it was Ole Lensmar, at that time working as the architect of a huge SOA project. “There was simply no test tool available that worked well with an agile development process.”  says Ole.  “So I had to develop one myself.” For several months Ole worked with the SOA project during the days and developed SoapUI in his spare time. When Ole saw what SoapUI could do for him and his colleagues he decided to share SoapUI with other people working with SOA development and the Open Source version of SoapUI was released. Since then several releases have been made and today SoapUI is the most used tool for SOA testing in the world. Already from start the ambition was to create a best-in-breed test tool for Web Services and that mission has been a guiding star ever since. Our development strategy rests on two fundamental pillars; humble listening and innovative thinking. We have a close and op...

What’s new in Ubuntu Desktop 20.04 LTS 24 April 2020

Ubuntu is the world’s most popular open-source desktop operating system, and we think this is our best release to date. Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is an enterprise-grade, secure, cost-effective operating system for organisations and home users. Before I summarise the changes in this release, let’s address something I’ve seen discussed in the wider desktop Linux community; there is a perception that the desktop is no longer a priority for us. Nothing could be farther from the truth, and here’s why; the people who use Ubuntu Desktop are often passionate people making huge waves in their industry. They want to build the next big thing, such as AI/ML, self-driving cars, public cloud services, and container orchestration. These have all emerged while we’ve been working on the Linux desktop, and all of these innovations have driven waves of Ubuntu Desktop adoption in the enterprise. As a consequence, Ubuntu was the first choice in these new domains. So even though Ubuntu is a popular community s...
